Introducing Michael Bartoldus, Our New Director of Technology
The Postrider is pleased to announce that Michael Bartoldus has been hired as our Director of Technology!
A self-taught full stack web developer with a passion for linguistics, Michael regularly writes HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP. In his free time, he enjoys messing with Deno and TypeScript. He strives for a pragmatic synthesis of relevant paradigms and “patiently awaits an end to the holy wars between object-oriented programming and functional programming.”I’ve been assured this is an in-joke within the programming world, please feel free to tease me about the fact that I – despite serving as the site’s technical lead for the entirety of its existence up until now – do not understand this.
Michael has spent much of the last few months learning about our codebase, the work we do, and the new types of content we want to put out into the world. We’re excited to have him on to improve and support The Postrider’s web development, design, and user experience.
We’re thrilled to welcome Michael to the team, look forward to working with him to clean up our legacy code and build a better site going forward, and excited to leverage his unique skills to deliver some novel interactives to complement our future content.
