We saw two up and coming QBs on the opposite ends of the QB performance spectrum in the Thursday night game. The Jaguars’ Trevor Lawerence is on the ascent and will be a force to be reckoned with for years to come, while the Jets’ Zach Wilson is on the descent, has been benched multiple times this season and will probably not start for the Jets next year.
It was nice of the Patriots organization to invite this fan who showed monk-like restraint against this Raiders fan during the Patriots shocking loss on a lateral throw to end the game.
Steelers all time great Franco Harris passed away at 72 earlier this week. Franco was one of the generational talents of the 70s and most known for the Immaculate Reception against the Raiders. As I was perusing Youtube after his passing, I came across this comment on one of his videos: “I’m a senior this year and Franco went to my high school, he’s a huge staple at every school event. He gets referenced at every pep rally, homecoming, etc regardless of the theme. When we found out he passed during the first period today my class was silent. What a legend RIP.”
Also it was great to see the Steelers actually eke out a win against the Raiders on the night Franco Harris would have had his jersey retired. Serendipitous.
The Cowboys might have won the battle against the Eagles in their matchup this past weekend, but will they win the war if they face the Eagles with Jalen Hurts in the playoffs? I am not so confident they can.
The 49ers look like they have the best defense coming into the last stretch of the season and most likely the DPOY in their defensive end, Nick Bosa.
Another NFL week, another nail biter win by the Vikings, who defeated the Giants on a game winning field goal. Also, my nephew Zachary’s favorite player, Justin Jefferson, broke the Vikings’ single season receiving yard mark previously held by my favorite player, Randy Moss. It’s funny how things stay the same and how they change.
Hi Ravens, I know you have clinched a playoff berth but this my weekly reminder: PAY THAT MAN, LAMAR JACKSON! Preferably in a Ravens purple Brinks truck.
My Buccaneers were able to pull off the miraculous win against the Cardinals in OT. It seems like they are winning the race to the bottom aka the NFC South.
I don’t think anyone has had a harder season than Russell Wilson. Not only has he been a main reason for the Broncos’ losing season, but this past weekend his interceptions were ridiculed by Patrick Starr on the Nick Cast.
