Week 15

  • I guess that string of great Thursday night games stopped with the diabolically slow 49ers vs Rams game.
  • Oh my…*clears eyes* the Jets actually got over their own ineptitude and won a game.
  • Joe Burrow being one of the best quarterbacks statistically and Ja’Marr Chase being one of the best receivers statistically while they’re both on a 6-8 team should be criminal.
  • I wonder if Patrick Mahomes twisting his ankle might lead to some parity leading into the playoffs.
  • Shoutout to Texas A&M’s finest, Baker Mayfield showing that he is indeed a better QB than Justin Herbert.
  • Yeah, Jared Allen is most likely going to win the MVP after winning against the NFL darling-Detroit Lions.
  • The Broncos might end up doing a sneaky holiday tip-toe into the playoffs and play Grinch to a couple of top teams.
  • I genuinely feel bad for Caleb Williams and the Bears. They’ve got all of the pieces but it seems like the coaching staff can’t coach through a paper bag.

Week 16

  • I went through a whirlwind of emotions watching the Falcons-Commanders game. I experienced the full gamut of feelings: pptimism, pessimism, frustration and, finally, hope, once Jayden Daniels led the Commanders down the field for a game winning touchdown.
  • Also, the Buccaneers regain their playoff destiny but have to finish business this weekend against the Saints.
  • The Lions and 49ers game lets you know that both teams won in the Jared Goff and Matthew Stafford trade. Might be one of the best trades in sports history.
  • Oh no Giants!!! You removed yourself from the Shedeur Sanders sweepstakes.
  • I think we all agree that we should let the NBA keep Christmas because both NFL games were clankers.
  • On the plus side, Beyoncé’s performance was equal parts Pimp C and Dolly Parton.  Truly amazing performance.
  • Seahawks-Bears was another painful game to watch. I don’t know if you would call it a  defensive struggle or an ineptitude of offense.
  • Joe Burrow is really good…like, if he ends up getting the Bengals in the playoffs I think they could go to the Super Bowl. That isn’t hyperbole.
  • Micah Parsons;’ comment about how the score in the Eagles-Cowboys game looked worse than the actual game that was played by the Cowboys defense, even though the Eagles put belt to ass 41-7…
  • Sheesh, Aaron Rodgers quit in that game against the Bills. We are watching in real time a hall of famer not only tarnish his legacy but graffiti all over it on his inevitable way out from the Jets.
  • Lamar Jackson deserves my MVP vote over Josh Allen at this current moment.
