One of my favorite things about The Postrider is that, no matter how broad or narrow this project is in a given year, the throughline is the same: take talented and insightful people, then provide them with an outlet where they can shine. It is in that vein, and with the continued, gradual increase of our readership, that we would like to open up our political discourse to a wider pool of contributors.

I’m fond of imploring passion for politics and government because it is the one thing that I can guarantee will impact your life, and the lives of everyone you know and love, on a daily basis. In that sense, anyone can and should be a politico – truly great political insight and commentary can come from anywhere. Whether your background is in education, investment banking, landscaping, customer service, engineering, or volunteering – we know that you have something novel to say about the political discourse in this country, because politics affects you, and because most people probably don’t understand how.
